Common possible causes of dental injuries.
Injuries to the teeth are not only excruciatingly painful, but they can also interfere with your daily activities and possibly even give you pain or migraines. Because many different types of dental injuries are not created equal, you might require immediate expert assistance due to the severity of your injury, or you might be able to wait a few days for an appointment. Here are some of the common possible causes of dental injuries:- Trauma to the face or teeth: Dental trauma injuries to the face and mouth can be caused by a variety of different things, including sporting activities like football, volleyball, hockey, basketball, or baseball, falls, and accidents. Fractures of the teeth that are just minor can be easily treated, but fractures of the teeth that are deeper can be more serious and require immediate professional attention. The face trauma could result in a concussion, dizziness, disorientation, severe headache, memory loss, bleeding from the nose or ears, or a fracture of the jaws and skull that have to be evaluated and treated by a professional in an emergency room setting.
- Biting and chewing objects: The majority of people have a habit of biting and chewing on things that can cause tooth fractures, such as pencils, hard sweet candies, or ice cubes. These habits can lead to tooth loss. If you continue to chew and bite down on hard things without taking precautions, you may end up chipping or breaking one of your teeth.
- Wear and tear: Your teeth are subjected to wear and tear regularly, which can lead to problems including cavities, gum infections, and gum diseases. These problems can become more severe if they are not addressed promptly.
