What to expect after a dental implant surgery?
After having your wisdom teeth extracted, you may feel numb for several hours after the procedure. This is due to the location of the wisdom teeth, which are close to the tongue’s nerve. The sensation may last a few days, but if it becomes too intense, you should make an appointment with your dentist to get a prescription for an anti-inflammatory medication.

This sensation is made worse when exposed to foods that are either extremely hot or extremely cold. This is perfectly normal and won’t last long because the nerves will heal themselves.
